Amazon Rolls Out 'Buy with Prime' App for Shopify to Enhance Merchant Experience

SEATTLE, August 30, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) has launced a new app integration called 'Buy with Prime' for Shopify stores. Scheduled for a full release by the end of September, the app is currently available by invitation-only to select Shopify merchants in the United States. This new integration facilitates a seamless shopping experience for Amazon Prime members, allowing them to use their Prime benefits, such as fast, free delivery and easy returns, while shopping directly from participating Shopify stores. According to Peter Larsen, Amazon Vice President of Buy with Prime, the app was developed "in collaboration with Shopify" and aims to boost shopper conversion rates by an average of 25%.

Previously, Shopify merchants managed Buy with Prime separately from their Shopify admin panel. The new app integration streamlines the entire process. "Our merchants care deeply about choice, and this new app will give them a new way to meet their customers where they are," said Daniel Debow, Shopify Vice President of Product Partnerships. The app also incorporates Amazon Pay as a payment option within Shopify Payments, making transactions even more convenient for both Shopify merchants and Amazon Prime shoppers.
