Cahiers d'Art Expands to South Korea, Appoints Bo Young Song as CEO

SEOUL, South Korea, September 1, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Paris-based art publisher Cahiers d'Art is set to officially launch its first Asian outpost in South Korea on September 7th. Bo Young Song, Founder of Habitus Associates (Artue), has been appointed as the CEO of Cahiers d'Art Korea. "Ms. Song is the first Asian partner of the main office of Cahiers d'Art," says the company's press release.

The company, founded in 1926, has a long-standing history of collaborating with modernist era avant-garde artists such as Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Marcel Duchamp, and others. It is known for its authoritative catalogues raisonnés and art journals. "The launch of Cahiers d'Art Korea marks a momentous step for both the publisher and the South Korean art community, promising a new chapter of artistic exploration and collaboration," said Ms. Song. She also mentioned plans for Cahiers d'Art to contribute to the creation of catalogues raisonnés for artists in Asian countries, including South Korea.

In celebration of the launch, Cahiers d'Art publications will be displayed on the 4th floor of Boon The Shop from September 7th to October 8th, coinciding with major South Korean art events like Frieze Seoul and KIAF.
