Cheba Hut 'Toasted' Subs Opens New Location in Scottsdale, Arizona

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., December 20, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Cheba Hut, a cannabis-themed restaurant and bar, has officially opened a new location in Scottsdale, Arizona. Founder Scott Jennings, originally from Omaha, Nebraska, moved to Arizona in 1990 to attend Arizona State University. After graduating, he opened the first Cheba Hut 'Toasted' Subs in Tempe in 1998.

Jennings shared his journey: “I moved away from my hometown of Omaha, Nebraska, to attend school at Arizona State University - rapidly falling in love with the desert, I graduated from ASU and decided to stay out there and work in the ‘real world’ which ended up sucking. So, in January of 1998, I decided to Escape The Established and create a cool place to work with great food and opened the first Cheba Hut 'Toasted' Subs on Apache Boulevard in Tempe.”

The brand's expansion was supported by 'The Lenz Family', its first franchisees, who opened a location across from the University of Arizona. "We owe a big thanks to ‘The Lenz Family’ for making that move possible, Keeping It Real, and Hustling to make the Cheba Hut brand proud for over 20 years down in Arizona," Jennings stated.

Cheba Hut operates on five Core Values: The Hustle, Show Respect, Own It, Pay It Forward, and Keep It Real. The Scottsdale location will offer “toasted” subs, pretzel nugs, krispy treats, signature cocktails, and local brews. Unique features include a large outdoor patio, a custom to-go window, and a one-of-a-kind mural by artist Josh Finley, showcasing a blend of Wild West and modern stoner lifestyle themes.

Jennings concluded, “We always had long-term plans to come back to Arizona and open up a location that is operated by our headquarters - I never stopped loving the desert, it will always be the place where it all started.”

The new Cheba Hut is located at 4912 E Shea Blvd STE 101, Scottsdale, AZ 85254, offering a range of menu items for all ages, including crafted cocktails for those over 21.
