ConMet to Showcase New Transportation Technologies at IAA 2024
HANNOVER, Germany, September 16, 2024 (VSNewsNetwork.com) – ConMet, a supplier of technologies for the commercial vehicle industry, will present its latest advancements in vehicle efficiency and sustainability at the IAA Transportation 2024 event in Hanover, Germany. The event, held from September 17 to 22, is a notable platform for industry leaders to highlight innovations in logistics and transportation.
ConMet will focus on three areas in its display: lightweighting, fuel savings, and emissions reduction. These technologies are designed to help commercial fleets increase efficiency while addressing environmental concerns.
The company will showcase its lightweight components, including wheel ends and chassis parts, which reduce vehicle weight by up to 200 kg (approximately 440 lbs). This weight reduction is intended to increase payload capacity and lower operating costs.
In addition, ConMet will present its Freight-efficient PreSet Plus® wheel ends, which are designed to reduce drag and improve fuel economy. The company will also feature its automated tire inflation system for tractors, which routes air through the hub to the tires, and its TruckWings® active aerodynamics system, which has been shown to improve vehicle efficiency by 2-6%. ConMet’s SmartHub™ technology, a real-time wheel end health monitoring system, will also be highlighted.
ConMet’s focus on reducing emissions will include its eHub™ 10 and eHub 80 regenerative power sources for zero-emission refrigerated trailers and the eHub 170 in-wheel propulsion system for drive axles. These technologies aim to support industry efforts to reduce carbon emissions.
“These advanced technologies underscore ConMet’s commitment to providing solutions that not only enhance vehicle performance, but also contribute to a greener future,” said Mike Harman, Vice President of International Sales at ConMet.
Attendees can visit ConMet in Hall 21, Stand F22, during the IAA Transportation event to learn more about these innovations.
