WASHINGTON, July 26, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Dr. Willie Jolley, a Hall of Fame speaker, renowned author, and radio personality, has been recognized with the National Speakers Association's (NSA) coveted Cavett Award. Named after NSA's founder Cavett Robert, this prestigious honor is awarded annually to one member whose accomplishments and career reflect significant respect, honor, and admiration within the speaking profession.

Dr. Jolley's achievement marks several milestones, as he is the first African American man to receive the Cavett Award. Prior to this, he was the first African American president of the NSA's Washington, DC Chapter, the first to be elected to the NSA National Board, and the first to chair the Speaker Hall of Fame Leadership Committee. Upon hearing of Dr. Jolley's award, famed speaker Les Brown expressed his elation, stating, "I was in tears because he is one of the best in the world and truly deserves this award!"
