WINDSOR, Calif., September 19, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - DuMOL, a winery known for its high-quality pinot noirs and chardonnays that capture the essence of the Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast, has introduced its 2021 MacIntyre Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir.

The MacIntyre Estate Vineyard was planted in 2016 by DuMOL's winemaker and partner, Andy Smith. Located adjacent to DuMOL’s existing Green Valley Estate Vineyards, this particular vineyard has been highlighted for its suitability for pinot noir cultivation. The vineyard's characteristics, including its cooler, lower elevation and consistent fog intrusion, make it an ideal environment for this grape variety. Its sandy soils help concentrate the grape's natural flavors by directing late-season energy into ripening small, loose clusters.

Speaking about the promising future of the MacIntyre Estate Vineyard, Andy Smith stated, "At less than a decade old, it's apparent there's already a real sense of equilibrium between vine, site, and climate. This vineyard will be a star for years to come."

The 2021 MacIntyre Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir has already received critical acclaim. It boasts aromatic notes of pine needle, spruce, tart red and black fruits, and hibiscus, earning it a perfect 100 points from wine critic Antonio Galloni of Vinous.

DuMOL's winegrowing practices focus on environmental sustainability. The MacIntyre Estate Vineyard is dry-farmed and planted at high density, which encourages root depth and vine competition. The vineyard is also home to honeybees that contribute to the ecosystem's health and biodiversity.

This new release will be available in select restaurants nationwide and reflects DuMOL’s continued commitment to capturing the unique qualities of the Sonoma Coast in its wines.
