HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif., July 15, 2024 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Golf Pro Ernie Els has secured his first major victory on the PGA TOUR Champions by winning the Kaulig Companies Championship at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio. The win marks Els' third victory of the season and his sixth overall on the tour.

At 54, Els began with an even-par opening round and advanced with a 64 on Saturday. He finished the tournament at 10-under, winning by one stroke after shooting a 68 on Sunday. Els' has played at Firestone Country Club for 32 years without a previous win, so this victory was affirming to Els..
