Fragrance Creators Association Welcomes Dr. Dan Selechnik, Ph.D. as New Director of Regulatory Science

In his role, Dr. Selechnik will oversee the association's regulatory science programs, ensuring that the fragrance industry's commitment to science and safety remains at the forefront of all its initiatives. He will assume his position on June 20, 2023.

With four years of experience in the fragrance sector, Dr. Selechnik brings a wealth of expertise in assessing the safety of fragrance materials. He most recently served as a Senior Scientist at the Research Institute for Fragrance Materials (RIFM), where he successfully managed testing pipelines, communicated risk assessment approaches, and presented collaborative research findings. Dr. Selechnik holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Ursinus College and a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the University of Sydney, with his doctoral thesis receiving the esteemed Jabez King Heydon Memorial Prize for Best Thesis in the Biological Sciences. Following his graduation, he joined RIFM as a Post-Doctoral Scientist and has since held various scientific roles within the organization. As the Director of Regulatory Science for Fragrance Creators, Dr. Selechnik will oversee the association's Regulatory Science Executive Committee.
