WASHINGTON, July 24, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - ALB Book Publishing Company has announced a new publication by hip-hop activist Sean XLG Mitchell titled "Afrospirituality". This book, inspired by the "Autobiography of Malcolm X", proposes an African-centered faith aiming to empower and cater to the unique needs of the Black community in America and globally. "Most races of people have beliefs that are based on tradition, and culture is the centerpiece that unites and mobilizes the masses of their people," said Mitchell. "I used this formula to create the faith."

"Afrospirituality" blends ancestral principles and practices with a modern take on mindfulness, thereby advancing faith in the contemporary world. Mitchell, an ordained minister, hip-hop artist, and active community worker, infuses the work with his wide-ranging knowledge from numerous scholars and his rich experience in the Black community.

Mitchell believes in the transformative power of cultural development, seeing it as key to uniting races of people. "Our period of enslavement interrupted our cultural continuity, which created a divide among our people. We must work together to recapture and reclaim it if we're going to advance from where we are," he said. "Afrospirituality" aims to illuminate the relationship between culture and power across various life aspects, with a primary focus on self-development.

"Afrospirituality" by Sean XLG Mitchell is available on Amazon.com in eBook and paperback (ISBN-13:979-8389330801)
