TOKYO, October 19, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo, a luxury hotel with a history spanning 70 years, has expanded its carbon emissions offset program to include international guests. Utilizing Japan's government-administered J-Credit Scheme, the initiative allows guests to participate in global sustainability efforts directly through their stay.

Starting today, international guests have the option to join the carbon offset program during the booking process for a fee of 220 yen per person per night. This allows each guest to offset up to 15 kilograms of CO2 emissions per night. "At Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo, we are dedicated to making a real impact on sustainability. By launching the carbon offset program, we invite our international guests to join us in creating a greener future while experiencing our renowned hospitality," said Shinsuke Yamashita, General Manager of Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo.

In addition to the carbon offset program, the hotel's initiatives align with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ranging from combating climate change to promoting gender equality. For instance, the hotel has implemented the “Let’s Eat Up Everything! 30/10 Campaign” to reduce food loss and has organized tree-planting events as part of its environmental preservation efforts in Japan.
