PHILADELPHIA, July 24, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Read by 4th, in partnership with the Free Library of Philadelphia and Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, has announced the Philly ABCs campaign. This initiative places vibrant alphabet signage in North Philadelphia playgrounds and provides literacy resources across the city, aiming to promote early literacy and counteract summer learning loss.

"Children who grasp letter names, shapes, and sounds upon entering Kindergarten are more likely to develop strong reading skills," explained Jenny Bogoni, Executive Director of Read by 4th. Fourteen Philadelphia Parks & Recreation sites now feature alphabet signage, engaging children and incorporating learning into play. The artwork, reflecting the city's diversity, will be on display until September 2023. Additionally, Play Kits and free Philly ABCs posters are available for families at library branches throughout the city.
