NEW YORK, December 12, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Musician James Mastro has released a new video for "Right Words, Wrong Song," the lead track from his debut solo album, "Dawn of a New Error." The album, scheduled for release on February 21, 2024, through MPress Records, features the legendary Ian Hunter.

The video for "Right Words, Wrong Song" presents a satirical take on the news media, with Mastro adopting the role of a late-night TV host. "The video is a tip of the hat to fellow New Jerseyans Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart," Mastro explains. He adds, "Ian Hunter as the weatherman makes perfect sense to me, as he's weathered many storms over the decades and come out fine. That's news I can trust."
"Dawn of a New Error" marks a significant chapter in Mastro's career. The album, produced by Tony Shanahan, known for his work with Patti Smith, includes contributions from Brian Griffin and Steve Goulding. Recording and mixing were handled by Grammy nominee James Frazee, with mastering by Greg Calbi.
Mastro's career spans decades, starting with The Richard Lloyd Group and founding The Bongos. His tenure as frontman for The Health & Happiness Show opened for artists like Wilco and Johnny Cash. Mastro has also played with Ian Hunter, Patti Smith, John Cale, and other notable musicians.
