LCF Georgia to Host Second Annual Orgullo Latinx Pride Reception at Atlanta City Hall

ATLANTA, September 5, 2024 (VSNewsNetwork.com)The Latino Community Fund (LCF Georgia) will host its second annual Orgullo Latinx Pride Reception at Atlanta City Hall on September 27, 2024, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. This free event celebrates Latinx LGBTQIA+ leaders and community members across Georgia, with the goal of fostering inclusivity and advancing social justice for this diverse community.

The event will feature Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens and Council President Doug Shipman, who will demonstrate the city’s support for inclusion, diversity, and the Latinx LGBTQIA+ community. The reception will include a DJ set, drag performances, complimentary food, and a hosted bar.

Jean-Luc Rivera, Deputy Executive Director of LCF Georgia, expressed enthusiasm for the event, noting its significance for the community. “We are so excited to celebrate the intersection of the Latinx and LGBTQIA+ community here in Georgia. I’m so proud to be a member of both communities and to be able to create a space for us to be seen, heard, and share our joy.”

The event is supported by partners and sponsors, including the Office of LGBTQ Affairs, the Office of Immigrant Affairs, Atlanta Pride, LatinoLinQ, HRC Atlanta, and the Southern Poverty Law Center. An after-party will be hosted by Atlanta Eagle, with Tito’s providing product donations.
