MAZATLÁN, Mexico, September 29, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - The Mazatlán Tourism Board announced the commencement of its international promotional tour, targeting the North American travel industry. In an effort to present the offerings of Mazatlán to a broader audience, the board, in association with the Association of Hotels and Tourist Companies of Mazatlán, has completed visits to several cities including Burbank, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Diego, and Orange County. Further plans include extending their reach to Canadian cities such as Burnaby, Abbotsford, Edmonton, Calgary, and Toronto in October.

Mazatlán, a city recognized for its 16th-century origins, Historical District, and 12-mile beach stretch, reportedly attracts over 400,000 visitors from the North American region annually. "Mazatlán has been recognized as the Principal Destination of Mexico and Central America by the World Travel Awards for five consecutive years," a statement from the board revealed.

In recent presentations held in California, which were attended by over 150 tour operators and travel agents, the board detailed its future plans. These plans include "increasing international flight connectivity to the city, introducing new hotels next year, and enhancing the city’s cultural attractions," as shared in the official release.

Ana Trewartha, Promotional Director of Tourism of the State, commented on the promotional activities: “We've had productive engagements in California, and the feedback from the tourism industry has been encouraging. Our goal with this tour is to further promote Mazatlán's unique offerings in terms of history, climate, and recent infrastructural advancements.”
