MIAMI, October 13, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Palace Resorts has solidified its presence in the luxury hospitality sector by completing its acquisition of Baglioni Hotels & Resorts. This move comes after the company had acquired a significant 75% stake in November 2022. The acquisition signifies a strategic expansion for the luxury resort chain.

Following this development, there has been a leadership transition within Baglioni Hotels & Resorts. Guido Polito, who held the CEO position and contributed immensely to the brand's luxury reputation across Italy, England, and the Maldives, will be stepping down. Palace Resorts commended Polito for his dedicated service and pivotal role in enhancing the Baglioni brand.

Taking the reins of leadership for the European sector, Massimo Baldo has been appointed as the new Palace Resorts VP for Europe. Gibran Chapur, Executive Vice President of Palace Resorts, stated: “I would like to thank Guido Polito for his leadership and great work done over the past years by taking Baglioni Hotels and Resorts to the highest standards in luxury Italian hospitality. I also welcome Massimo Baldo, who has a deep understanding of the European Market and whom we are sure will deepen and expand the Palace Resorts footprint in the greater European Market by taking our Le Blanc Spa Resort brand across the world, as well as growing our Italian luxury brand, Baglioni.”

Massimo Baldo brings a wealth of experience from his tenure with the NH Hotel Group, where he held various leadership roles. Baldo expressed his enthusiasm for the new role, saying, “I believe that the ambition and strong personal and professional values of Palace Resorts will keep leading all of our brands to extraordinary results... I am eager to continue developing the brand and take it to new heights.”

Under Palace Resorts' leadership, Baglioni Hotels & Resorts, already boasting a portfolio of 5-star establishments across Europe and the Maldives, is set for further expansion. An imminent project is the scheduled opening of a new hotel in Forte dei Marmi in 2026.
