LONDON, England, September 14, 2023 (Newswire.com) - Following her esteemed inclusion in TIME Magazine's inaugural TIME100 AI list, Sougwen Chung is set to unveil her latest art exhibition at the House of Fine Art (HOFA) Gallery in London. The exhibition, titled "Relational Gestures," will run from October 14 to 25, 2023, with a press preview scheduled for October 13 by RSVP only.

Chinese-Canadian artist Sougwen Chung has garnered attention for her speculative and visionary work, particularly in the realm of human-AI collaboration. Her forthcoming exhibition explores the concept of hybridity, aiming to challenge and resolve adversarial perceptions of AI through a relational approach centered on balance, openness, and imagination.

"Relational Gestures will showcase a body of artefacts and new works that result from a hybrid process," says Sougwen Chung. "Through the work, I am thinking deeply about how human creative capabilities might evolve as a result of the possibilities afforded by embodied AI."

The exhibition promises a variety of art forms, including physical paintings, digital videos, AR sculptures, and immersive media installations. Sougwen Chung's work also extends into the realm of blockchain, as some of the pieces will be offered as collectible NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens).

Sougwen Chung's unique approach to AI and art earned her a place as an 'Innovator' on TIME's 2023 TIME100 AI list, which honors individuals from various sectors, including leadership, policy, and art, who are making a significant impact on how AI is perceived and utilized globally.

The artist's multidisciplinary work has been featured in multiple esteemed platforms and venues. A former MIT Media Lab Fellow and Google Artist in Residence, her art has been exhibited at the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Geneva, and the NTT Intercommunication Center in Tokyo. She has received press coverage in The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Fast Company, and WIRED.

Elio D'Anna, HOFA Co-Founder and art+tech entrepreneur, expressed excitement for the upcoming exhibition. "Sougwen's exhibition is an interesting departure from what we usually see with AI art. Being honoured as an Innovator in the TIME100 AI list also demonstrates the significance of their work. We are very excited about their upcoming show," said D'Anna.
