HOUSTON, February 8, 2024 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Star Cinema Grill has announced a partnership with Bayou City Hemp Company and 8th Wonder, introducing hemp-derived THC beverages to its menu. This initiative will launch in conjunction with the Valentine's Day premiere of the film "Bob Marley: One Love" on February 14, making Star Cinema Grill the first theater in Texas to offer such products. The beverages, including Beach Break Swell Berry and HOWDY Ranch Water seltzers, will be available at all eight of its locations throughout Southeast Texas.

According to a press release from Bayou City Hemp, this collaboration marks a significant step for Star Cinema Grill, a Houston-based dine-in theater concept known for combining first-run film releases with an extensive menu and full-service bar. The addition of non-alcoholic, hemp-derived THC beverages aligns with the recent acquisition of 8th Wonder by Bayou City Hemp, creating a new entity focused on innovative beverage solutions that meet consumer demand across various categories.

The THC-infused products comply with the 2018 Federal Farm Bill and Texas HB 1325, allowing for their legal sale and distribution within the state. These beverages are crafted using Bayou City Hemp Company’s CO2 extraction and proprietary nano-emulsion technologies, ensuring a high-quality, innovative offering for Texas consumers.

Jason Petro of Star Cinema Grill expressed enthusiasm for the new brand partnership, stating, "We're excited about this new brand partnership and, as always, encourage responsible consumption, similar to our recommendation to guests who choose to indulge in alcoholic beverages. Join us at any of our cinemas for this inspiring feature and elevate your movie experience with our robust menu offerings, which now include hemp-derived beverages.”

Ben Meggs, CEO of Bayou City Hemp, also commented on the partnership, "Bringing our infused seltzers to such a beloved and high-quality theater was a natural progression for Bayou City Hemp and 8th Wonder. Kicking back, relaxing, and enjoying a movie with our non-alcoholic alternative is going to bring a new element to the movie-going experience, and we’re thrilled to be the first in this arena in Texas.”

As the musician was known for his ample use of marijuana, the release of "Bob Marley: One Love" provides an apt occasion for the introduction of these THC-infused beverages, inviting moviegoers to enjoy a unique experience with loved ones on Valentine’s Day.
