Star-Studded Lineup Announced for Shaquille O'Neal Foundation's Third Annual 'The Event'

LAS VEGAS, August 29, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - The Shaquille O’Neal Foundation released details of its third annual fundraising gala, "The Event," slated for October 7, 2023, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Actor, Comedian, and Host Joel McHale will emcee the gala, which will feature performances by high-caliber entertainers including John Legend, Dan + Shay, DJ Pee .Wee (also known as Anderson .Paak), Jennifer Hudson, and Ray Romano. Music Director Adam Blackstone, a GRAMMY and Emmy Award winner, will be returning for his third consecutive year.

The foundation, established by NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal, has as its primary objective the empowerment of underserved youth. It operates in partnership with two organizations: Boys & Girls Clubs and Communities In Schools.

O'Neal said, "We raised the bar last year, and The Third Event promises to do the same. I'm so grateful to our entertainers who are once again donating their time. I know they will create a night of incredible music and comedy in a true testament to the power of unity to make a difference in kids' lives."

Tickets for the public performance are now available via AXS.com, with prices ranging from $50 to $250. The evening will also feature a private cocktail reception, dinner, and a live auction. Table sponsorships for the private event range from $15,000 to $100,000.

These funds have been utilized for various initiatives including the Shaquille O'Neal Boys & Girls Club of Henry County, the construction of youth athletic courts and fields, and the annual Shaq-a-Claus holiday program. This year's fundraising will continue to support these and other similar community initiatives.
