ATLANTA, October 6, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Real estate investment firm, Sterling Organization, has expanded its portfolio by acquiring the prominent 'Marketplace at Buckhead', previously recognized as 'Cherokee Plaza'. Situated at 3871-3895 Peachtree Road NE, Atlanta, the property has been purchased on behalf of Sterling's grocery-anchored shopping center fund, Sterling United Properties II, LP (“SUP II”). This addition stands as the 14th property within the fund, which holds $267 million in equity.

With a total space of 102,864 square feet, the Marketplace at Buckhead is primarily anchored by a leading 81,718-square-foot Kroger grocery store. Furthermore, it houses prominent national brands including Starbucks, Jersey Mike’s Subs, and Salon Lofts. Geographically, the shopping center benefits from its prime location within a three-mile radius of affluent single-family communities. This area encompasses over 146,000 residents with an average household income exceeding $175,000.

Jordan Fried, Principal of Sterling Organization, commented on the acquisition, "Marketplace at Buckhead represents a trophy grocery-anchored shopping center asset. Its enviable location adjacent to some of Atlanta's most upscale submarkets, combined with its solid tenant lineup offering essential goods and services, makes it an invaluable addition to our SUP II portfolio."

With this latest acquisition, Sterling Organization now manages 73 properties across the U.S., amounting to over 12.3 million square feet of gross leasable area and surpassing $2.8 billion in real estate value.
