Theory Wellness Opens Recreational Cannabis Dispensary in Trenton, New Jersey

TRENTON, N.J., July 11, 2024 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Theory Wellness has announced the grand opening of its recreational cannabis dispensary in Trenton, New Jersey, on July 11 at 9 am. This new location represents an expansion for Theory Wellness into the Garden State.

Located off Route 1 with ample parking, the Trenton dispensary is the first cannabis dispensary to open in the city and has already established a community presence through its medical sales. The new recreational sales will offer a range of cannabis products at competitive prices through an outlet-based pricing model.

To commemorate the opening, Theory Wellness is donating $10,000 to the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK) to support their mobile food kitchen. Representatives from TASK will attend a check presentation at 11 am, featuring remarks from Theory Wellness CEO Brandon Pollock, Mayor Reed Gusciora, and Councilwoman Marge Caldwell-Wilson.

“The Trenton Area Soup Kitchen plays a vital role in our community, providing essential services to those in need,” said Pollock. “By donating to TASK and supporting their mobile food kitchen, we hope to make a meaningful impact on food insecurity in the Trenton area. We believe in giving back to the community that supports us, and this donation is a step towards ensuring that everyone has access to nutritious meals."

TASK’s mobile meal program, launched in March 2024, serves more than 800 meals per week at four sites throughout Trenton. Additionally, TASK serves over 10,000 meals six days a week at their soup kitchen in Trenton’s North Ward and at 35 community meal sites across Mercer County, NJ, and lower Bucks County, PA. Theory Wellness will also collect shelf-stable canned goods from customers from Friday to Sunday of the opening weekend. Each item donated will be worth $2 in credit, with customers able to receive up to $10 in credit towards their purchase during the opening weekend.

Theory Wellness Trenton is located at 461 New York Ave. Recreational customers must be 21 years of age or older and provide a valid ID to enter. The dispensary will be open for recreational sales from 9 am to 9 pm Sunday through Thursday, and from 9 am to 10 pm on Friday and Saturday. Medical-only hours will begin each day at 7 am.
