Torras Properties Mourns the Loss of Long-Standing Board Member Eric Tiller

BRUNSWICK, Ga., June 21, 2024, (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Torras Properties, Inc. announced today that C. Eric Tiller, Jr., a long-serving member of its Board of Directors, passed away on Monday, June 17. Tiller had been an integral part of the company for over 30 years, serving as both a director and a key advisor.

Eric Tiller joined the company in its early stages and worked closely with its founder, Robert M. Torras, Sr., since the establishment of Torco, Inc. in 1968. Throughout his tenure, Tiller provided consistent guidance and support to the Torras family and the company's leadership.

Tiller's professional background included a significant tenure at the accounting firm Moore Stephens Tiller LLC (MST). He began his career at the Brunswick office in 1961 and later transferred to Atlanta in 1965. Tiller was admitted to the partnership in 1968 and served as the firm's Managing Partner from 1985 to 1991. His leadership during this period contributed substantially to the firm's growth and reputation.

Born and raised in Brunswick, Tiller earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Georgia in 1961. He was actively involved in various civic and professional organizations throughout his career, maintaining a strong commitment to his community and profession.
