BALTIMORE - July 25, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Digital platform STEM City USA has announced the introduction of "Locked Out No More," an initiative aimed at restoring the voting rights of individuals with criminal records. Currently, it's estimated that 4.2 million U.S. citizens are unable to vote due to their criminal backgrounds.

"Locked Out No More," led by Senator Larry Young, will operate via the metaverse, and includes the collaboration of volunteer lawyers, the foundation of offices for civil rights organizations within STEM City USA, and the use of the metaverse for legal consultations. Through this platform, individuals seeking to have their criminal records expunged can virtually meet with legal professionals. Senator Young stated that this initiative integrates the capabilities of modern digital technology with the provision of pro bono legal aid, aiming to broaden access to these essential services.

The project could potentially impact future elections by reintegrating disenfranchised individuals into the voting population, and aims to reduce societal limitations often associated with criminal records.
