Better Worlds & AMM Announce Winners of 2023 CultureTech Art & Music Challenge

LOS ANGELES, September 13, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - In a collaboration aimed at celebrating and preserving indigenous culture, Better Worlds and Arts Management Magazine (AMM) have announced the winners of the inaugural 2023 CultureTech Art & Music Challenge. The contest drew nearly 500 submissions from 16 countries and was part of an initiative to commemorate the 20th anniversary of UNESCO's Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Better Worlds, a global media platform exploring the positive impacts of web3 and AI technologies, joined forces with Arts Management Magazine, which has been discussing the role of business and philanthropy in arts since 1962, to encourage indigenous artists to express their cultural insights through digital media and music.

The contest encouraged entries that explore the impact of digital technology on the relationship between indigenous identity, the natural environment, and a sustainable future. After rigorous evaluation by a panel of experts in art and music, ten finalists in each category were chosen, with Idonaba Zealous winning in Visual Art and Duan Wei and ArtsDAO yuan orchestra tying for first place in Music.

Michael Mitchell and Daniel Swid, co-founders of Better Worlds, and Michael Reiss, the guide behind Arts Management Magazine, have all played roles in launching this meaningful initiative. "This year's CultureTech Challenge encouraged artistic expression that explores indigenous artists' cultural insights," they said in a joint statement.

Plans for the 2024 CultureTech Challenge are already in the works and will be announced in January 2024.
