PARIS, France, September 13, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Satellogic Inc., a company specializing in high-resolution Earth Observation (EO) data collection, and SkyWatch, a company in the remote sensing data technology sector, announced a strategic partnership during the World Satellite Business Week to make Satellogic's EO data accessible through SkyWatch's EarthCache platform.

EarthCache is a platform by SkyWatch that offers a user-friendly interface and robust API. It allows customers to browse archived data and task new satellite imagery according to various criteria. The integration of Satellogic's EO data into EarthCache will enable a broader range of organizations to access high-quality, high-resolution satellite imagery.

James Slifierz, CEO and co-founder of SkyWatch, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership. "Satellogic's constellation is unparalleled, offering our customers industry-leading capacity for high-quality, high-resolution imagery. We are also delighted to collaborate with an organization that echoes our values for the Earth observation industry: data that is easily discoverable, widely available, and affordably priced."

SkyWatch aims to democratize remote sensing data by making it accessible, affordable, and standardized. Its TerraStream infrastructure supports integrated services for EO satellite operators, including the EarthCache portfolio, to expedite the distribution and monetization of satellite data.

Caitlin Kontgis, Senior Vice President of Commercial and Growth at Satellogic, also commented on the partnership's significance. "This partnership was a natural fit for both companies; Satellogic increases access to its EO data while SkyWatch increases options and opportunities for its EarthCache platform customers."

Satellogic, which designs, manufactures, and operates its own high-resolution EO satellites, envisions daily global remaps. The company emphasizes the utility of EO data in enhancing decision-making processes, understanding Earth's changes, and moving toward a more sustainable future.
