Beyoncé's Featured Dancers Les Twins Join Forces With Kids Write Network to Promote Mental Health

ATLANTA, July 19, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - The "RISE for Mental Tour with Les Twins" (RMH), organized by Kids Write Network (KWN), has garnered commendation from educators, parents, and students across North America during its visits to schools, community centers, and hospitals. Renowned dancers Larry and Laurent Bourgeois, famously known as Les Twins, have partnered with KWN to raise awareness about mental health and enhance access to treatment and services.

Les Twins joined forces with KWN in November 2022 to develop workshops for schools, attracting significant attention with over 500 schools expressing interest in hosting the RMH tour. Through the expressive medium of dance, Les Twins demonstrate how body movement can be utilized as a coping mechanism for mental struggles, while promoting empowerment and resilience.

The U.S. leg of the RMH tour will kick off on October 16 in Atlanta, marking the conclusion of Les Twins' current world tour that showcases their awe-inspiring performances. Additionally, KWN will launch an AI app designed to assist users in tracking their progress on their mental health journeys.

KWN is an evidence-based in-school program that incorporates positive psychology, neuroscience, literary and art disciplines, and the KWN Scyibl six-step program. This comprehensive approach equips students with the tools to comprehend and effectively communicate about their mental health. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has recognized KWN's program and recommends its implementation in Canadian schools.

The decision to debut the U.S. leg of the RMH tour in Atlanta stems from the ATL Year of the Youth initiative. KWN, Les Twins, and Atlanta collectively aim to provide young people with the necessary resources to thrive.

Atlanta is also home to "Silence the Shame," a nonprofit organization founded by music industry veteran and philanthropist Shanti Das. This organization is committed to eradicating mental health stigmas, reducing health disparities, and lowering suicide rates among vulnerable populations. As an advocate for innovative solutions, Silence the Shame (STS) is proud to serve as an outreach partner for the RMH tour. An upcoming live taping of the "Silence the Shame" podcast and a KWN Les Twins demonstration is scheduled for August 13, 2023.

Pace Academy, an independent school in Atlanta, has been selected as the first stop on the RMH US tour due to its dedication and commitment to implementing best practices surrounding mental health. "Pace is thrilled to partner with Kids Write Network and Les Twins to support mental wellness, engage young people, and promote positivity, joy, and art through this unique program. Mental health is a focus of Excellence in Every Endeavor, our school's 2022-2027 strategic plan, and our community is honored to serve as the launch site for RISE for Mental Health's U.S. tour," said Fred Assaf, Head of School, Pace Academy.
