PORTLAND, Ore., June 23, 2024 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Comagine Health, in collaboration with the Oregon Wellness Network (OWN), has announced the initiation of the Advancing Health Equity to Address Diabetes (AHEAD) Community Health Concerns Survey. This project, financed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is designed to gather insights into the health concerns and perceptions of diabetes among Oregon residents, with a focus on enhancing their quality of life.

According to Comagine Health, the survey aims to achieve several key objectives, including capturing the primary health concerns within the community, understanding perceptions related to diabetes, and using the results to inform program recruitment and delivery as well as to support funding applications.

Evan Saulino, a Family Physician and Comagine Health Clinical Director, emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “We recognize that the number of people living with diabetes is on the rise, and navigating life with this chronic condition can be particularly challenging. Local residents who complete this survey will help us identify and address key issues, ultimately improving access to diabetes care for communities across Oregon.”

The survey is open from June 15 through July 31, 2024, and is accessible to all community members. Participants who complete the survey will be entered into a drawing to win $25 gift cards. The initiative is part of a broader effort by Comagine Health and OWN to enhance access to the National Diabetes Prevention Program and Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support services across Oregon.
