Eaton Appoints Omar Zaire as President of Corporate and Electrical Sector for EMEA; Tim Darkes to Retire

DUBLIN, November 7, 2024 (VSNewsNetwork.com) — Intelligent power management company, Eaton, (NYSE) has named Omar Zaire as president of its Corporate and Electrical Sector for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. Zaire will succeed Tim Darkes, who will retire from the company on June 1, 2025. In his new role, Zaire will report to Heath Monesmith, Chief Operating Officer, Electrical Sector, and join Eaton's senior leadership team.

Zaire brings 27 years of experience in the electrical industry, including 16 years at Eaton, where he has held numerous leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Power Reliability Division within Eaton’s Electrical Sector for the Americas. Throughout his tenure at Eaton, Zaire has led projects globally, including roles as General Manager at Eaton’s site in Jundiaí, São Paulo, and as Vice President and General Manager for the Latin America region. Before joining Eaton, he held various sales and leadership roles at Rockwell Automation, Weidmann Electrical, and ABB.

Zaire holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Instituto Mauá de Tecnologia in São Paulo, Brazil, and an Executive MBA from the University of Richmond, Virginia.
