LARAMIE, Wyo., October 6, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - WyoTech, An automotive and diesel trade school based in Wyoming, has named Kyle Morris as its new president, effective from November 1, 2023. Morris, who has been associated with the institution for two decades, will take the helm following the significant growth overseen by the current President, Jim Mathis.

Jim Mathis, who won't be completely stepping away, plans to assume a high-level “catalyst” role to support Morris and the existing leadership team. This team has been instrumental in driving the institution's growth, with enrollment numbers skyrocketing by nearly 9,000% since Mathis's acquisition in 2018.

Expressing confidence in the appointment, Mathis said, “Kyle was a fierce advocate for keeping WyoTech open before its most recent threat of closure in 2018." He further remarked on Morris's long-standing commitment to the institution, particularly highlighting his roles as the vice president of operations and finance, as well as the interim director of education.

Morris, on accepting his new role, shared his aspirations for WyoTech. "Our country, and the industry we serve, is craving not only skilled tradespeople but principled, hard workers," he noted, adding that the demand for such trades is robust and the regard for these professionals is at its peak. Morris envisions an opportunity for WyoTech to not just increase its student intake but to enhance the quality of education it offers.

With Morris's proven track record and dedication to WyoTech, the institution foresees a continuation of its mission to redefine trades education.
