MIAMI, August 17, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Online English education leader Open English has announced a R$2 million initiative in collaboration with Richarlison, the Brazilian national soccer team player. Aimed at underprivileged youth in Brazil, this represents the largest social action taken by the company in the country. Richarlison, also known as "Pombo," will serve as an ambassador for Open English, as well as continue his English language studies with the platform.

The initiative will see two organizations receiving complete English courses from Open English. The beneficiaries, chosen by Richarlison, include Gerando Falcões, a network focused on delivering education and economic development in Brazilian favelas, and young players from his hometown football team, Nova Venécia, in Espírito Santo. The total investment is reported to be 2 million Brazilian reais.

Open English's CEO, Andrés Moreno, spoke about the company's mission and excitement over the partnership, stating, "We believe that access to quality education is a powerful catalyst for positive changes in people's lives. Our purpose as a company is to empower students with the skills they need to succeed in their goals and lead better lives."

Richarlison also commented on the importance of English education, reflecting on his personal experience. "When I was a boy, I didn't have the opportunity to study English. And only I know how much I missed that when I came to play in Europe," he said. "I am very happy with this partnership with Open English because I will be able to provide the opportunity to study a new language to many underprivileged Brazilian youth."

Open English has been active in Brazil since 2011 and in Latin America for 16 years. The company offers innovative online English education, providing 24/7 access to live classes with native teachers. This collaboration with Richarlison underscores the company's ongoing commitment to educational inclusion and the development of opportunities for those who might not have access to language learning.
