The Michaels Organization Appoints New COO and CIO

CAMDEN, N.J., June 27, 2024 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Real estate company, The Michaels Organization, has named Matt Sullivan as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and promoted Michael Flanagan to Chief Investment Officer (CIO).

Sullivan, who joined Michaels in 2021 as Executive Vice President of Investment Management, will oversee asset management, risk management, refinancing and dispositions platforms, and support functions including Information Technology, Human Resources, and Corporate Marketing. Prior to Michaels, he was Managing Director of Asset Management and Capital Markets at CRC Companies. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from Princeton University and an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.

Flanagan joined Michaels in 2019 as Vice President of Capital Markets and became President of Development in 2022. In his new role as CIO, he will lead the company’s investment and development platforms, focusing on capital allocation and investment decisions. Flanagan has over 20 years of experience in capital markets, real estate, and finance, including senior positions at Lendlease Corporation. He holds a Master of Business Studies from University College Dublin’s Smurfit Graduate Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland.
