Amazon Web Services Launches AWS Build to Support Early-Stage Startups

SEATTLE – August 19, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) – Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS) has announced the creation of AWS Build, a global program aimed at supporting entrepreneurs in the early stages of building and launching their applications in the AWS cloud. The 10-week program will offer business and technical guidance for up to 500 startup founders globally, focusing on the development and launch of Minimum Viable Products (MVP).

The curriculum will cover a range of topics such as analytics, serverless technology, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Additionally, it will offer insights into product development, monetization strategies, customer acquisition, and more. The program will be fully online and largely self-paced, with weekly live virtual sessions including technical support, investor insights, and networking opportunities.

Howard Wright, vice president and global head of Startups at AWS, explained that AWS Build is “designed to support founders at the earliest stages of their startup journey,” with the goal of helping them leverage AWS technology efficiently and innovatively. Participants will receive up to $2,000 in AWS credits, allowing them to build their products and services in the cloud, as well as access to the AWS Build community for continued collaboration and support.

Amanda Herson, a partner at Founder Collective, praised AWS Build, saying it will “enable founders to tap into AWS's deep technical expertise early in their journey” and help them create strong MVPs in a cost-effective manner.

Applications for AWS Build are open from now until September 22, 2023, and the program will run from October 9 to December 15. Startups interested in joining can apply at AWS Build Program. Participants will also have access to AWS Activate, AWS's startup hub, with additional resources, guidance, and potentially eligible credit packages of up to $100,000.

This new program reflects Amazon’s continued efforts to foster innovation and support startups globally, providing vital resources and mentoring to ensure the successful launch and scalability of promising early-stage ventures.
