HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif., August 27, 2024 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Keegan Bradley secured his first victory of the season at the BMW Championship on Sunday, marking his seventh career PGA TOUR title and his second win at this event. The victory also propelled Bradley up 46 spots in the FedExCup rankings.
Bradley, who was the last player to qualify for the BMW Championship, quickly rose to the top of the leaderboard with an impressive 6-under 66 in the first round. Throughout the tournament at Castle Pines Golf Club, Bradley's iron play was a key factor in his success. He ranked second in the field for strokes gained on approach, hitting 73.61% of greens in regulation despite challenging winds and altitude.
“We did it. It was a battle all day,” Bradley said after his one-stroke victory, finishing at 12-under par. “It shows you why you have to grind it out every week because you never know how fast it can switch. Now I go to Atlanta with a chance to win the FedExCup.”
Bradley now heads to the Tour Championship at East Lake Country Club in fourth position in the FedExCup standings.
This win follows Hideki Matsuyama’s victory at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, marking back-to-back playoff wins for Srixon and Cleveland Golf.
The equipment Bradley used during his BMW Championship win includes:
