ESPN's Sal Paolantonio to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award from UNICO National

FAIRFIELD, N.J., February 6, 2024 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - UNICO National, recognized as America's largest Italian American service organization, has announced that Sal Paolantonio, ESPN National Correspondent, will be honored with the inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award for Journalism & Broadcasting Excellence. The award will be presented at the 101st Annual UNICO National Italian American Awards Gala on July 31, 2024, at the Westin Princeton, New Jersey.

Beyond his notable contributions to sports journalism, Paolantonio has covered significant political events as The Philadelphia Inquirer’s National Political Correspondent and served in the U.S. Navy, where he was honored with the United Nations Meritorious Service Medal.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Paolantonio has actively championed the Italian American community and supported UNICO's nonprofit mission. He has been involved in various charitable efforts, including serving on boards that focus on aiding at-risk youth and raising funds for education.

The upcoming gala, where Paolantonio will be recognized alongside other prominent Italian Americans, aims to celebrate the community's contributions and support UNICO’s charitable initiatives.
