Evergreen Podcasts Acquires 'The RR Show' in a Bid to Expand Its Content Portfolio

CLEVELAND, December 6, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Evergreen Podcasts has officially announced the acquisition of Reddit Readings (The RR Show), a popular podcast that transforms stories from Reddit into an immersive audio experience. This acquisition, facilitated by The Podcast Broker, is the first in a series of planned content acquisitions by Evergreen, extending into 2024.

The RR Show, created by co-owners Andy Roberts (host) and Anton Mehto (producer), is known for its unique approach to storytelling. It features a variety of stories from Reddit, ranging from fascinating and humorous to spine-tingling, with a commitment to obtaining express permission from each author. Evergreen aims to continue and enhance this legacy by respecting the rights of storytellers.

Andy Roberts, co-owner and host of The RR Show, expressed his enthusiasm for the acquisition. “I've thoroughly enjoyed working on the show and am truly excited to see it now receiving the time and dedication it deserves. This new phase promises to enhance what we've already achieved, especially as I've recently been unable to devote as much attention to it as I would have liked,” said Roberts.

Evergreen has maintained the regular release of new content during the transition, with episodes of The RR Show being published twice a week on Mondays and Fridays.

The format of each episode features an introduction followed by a host-narrated reading of Reddit stories, with episode lengths ideal for on-the-go listening.
