AcutePet Urgent Care Appoints Dr. John D. Anastasio as Chief Veterinary Medical Officer
WEST CHESTER, Ohio, October 8, 2024 (VSNewsNetwork.com) – AcutePet Urgent Care has appointed Dr. John D. Anastasio, DVM, DACVECC, as its new Chief Veterinary Medical Officer (CVMO).
Dr. Anastasio has held previous leadership roles, most recently serving as the Medical Director at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital (RBVH) in New Jersey. At RBVH, he oversaw the development of a new facility and played a role in enhancing the hospital’s medical and surgical services, while also contributing to staff training and development programs.
In his new role, Dr. Anastasio will be responsible for collaborating with medical teams to uphold and implement best practices in veterinary care across AcutePet locations. He will also be involved in training staff and updating medical protocols to ensure consistent care standards.
Dr. David Sachs, co-CEO of AcutePet, expressed optimism about Dr. Anastasio's appointment, stating, "His unique qualifications as a board-certified criticalist will complement our mission of providing the highest quality of urgent care."
Dr. Anastasio received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. He completed clinical rotations at the University of Pennsylvania and completed his residency in emergency and critical care at Tufts University. In 2012, he earned Diplomate status from the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care.
