CD One Price Cleaners and Infant Welfare Society Renew "Coats for Kids" Initiative for 13th Year
OAK BROOK, Ill., October 23, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - CD One Price Cleaners, in partnership with the Infant Welfare Society (IWS) of Chicago, has announced the 13th annual "Coats for Kids" coat-donation program. The charitable endeavor aims to benefit underserved children and families connected to the Angel Harvey Family Health Center in Chicago. The initiative is set to run from October 27 to November 11, 2023.
Jennifer Horan, Coat Drive Co-coordinator from the Infant Welfare Auxiliary Board, Lake Forest Chapter, stated, "Many families struggle to get appropriate outerwear for the harsh Chicago winters. If we can help lift this burden for them, we are dedicated to doing so. CD One Price Cleaners is so generous to offer to clean these coats to get them ready for distribution in November." The program functions by collecting gently used coats at all 38 CD One Price Cleaner locations in Illinois and Indiana, including Chicago city and suburbs. The collected coats are then cleaned and subsequently picked up by the Infant Welfare Society for distribution.’
"CD One is profoundly dedicated to making sure the less fortunate youth in our community is well-equipped to handle Chicago's cold winters," said Jonathon Reckles, Vice President of Marketing at CD One. "We're eager to join hands with the Infant Welfare Society again to deliver these coats to those who need them most." The collaboration appears timely, given that more than 200 new patients enroll monthly at the Infant Welfare Society, which annually serves over 13,000 patients with a range of healthcare services at the Angel Harvey Family Health Center in Logan Square.
