Evergreen Podcasts Expands Portfolio with Acquisition of Converge Podcast Network
CLEVELAND, March 26, 2024 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Evergreen Podcasts has officially acquired Converge Podcast Network, a provider of family-friendly and faith-based podcasts. This acquisition marks Evergreen's fifth since August 2023, a period during which the company has seen its monthly downloads increase by 106%.
Michael DeAloia, CEO of Evergreen Podcasts, expressed his enthusiasm for the acquisition, stating, "We're genuinely excited and deeply honored to welcome Converge Podcast Network into the Evergreen family. We aim to cultivate an inviting and inclusive space for both listeners and podcasters, nurturing authentic connections, fostering personal development, and amplifying voices."
Converge Podcast Network is known for its diverse array of shows, including "Theology in the Raw" by Preston Sprinkle, "The Pour Over Podcast," and "Leadership Lean In" with Chad Veach. These programs have collectively contributed to Converge's success, amassing over a million downloads each month.
Casey Helmick from Content Capital, the selling partner in the deal, highlighted the original mission of Converge, saying, "In 2018, we had a core belief that the family-friendly and faith-based podcast content needed a major shake-up. We started Converge to be a home to the many creators and consumers who were asking themselves, 'How does my spirituality and faith converge with my day-to-day life?'"
According to the company, Evergreen's strategy for Converge includes integrating additional shows that align with the network's mission and leveraging the partnership with Content Capital to drive further growth. The Homemaker’s Club podcast, previously part of Evergreen's lineup, will be the first of many shows to transition to Converge.
Listeners can expect to continue enjoying Converge Podcast Network's content with regular new episode releases across various platforms.
