Meenal Mech, Student of Global Schools-Sheykhar Ravjiani School of Music, Performs Alongside Famed Singer Javed Ali
SINGAPORE, October 23, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Meenal Mech, a student at the Global Schools-Sheykhar Ravjiani School of Music (GSSR SOM), recently performed in a duet with celebrated Indian playback singer Javed Ali. The concert took place at Singapore's Esplanade Concert Hall before a full audience of 1,200 attendees. Meenal has been under the tutelage of Sheykhar Ravjiani, an esteemed music composer and singer from India, who collaborates with the Global Schools Group to cultivate emerging musical talent.
“It was a great honour and a thrilling experience for me to be performing with a singer of the stature of Javed Ali,” said Meenal Mech after the concert. “It is a double honour to be mentored by Sheykhar, who has mentored me.” Meenal has been a student of Global Indian International School (GIIS) Kuala Lumpur and has been guided by Sheykhar Ravjiani for the last three years. She was selected for the performance after a rigorous evaluation process. Javed Ali, known for Bollywood hits such as 'Jashn-e-Bahaara' and 'Kun Faya Kun', shared the stage with her for the duet.
The music school, a partnership between Global Schools and Sheykhar Ravjiani, aims to prepare young talents for future careers in music. “I am delighted to see Meenal’s growth under this programme,” stated Sheykhar Ravjiani. “She has developed a finesse which is fit to be displayed on stage; I feel proud of her journey, and I am keen to see many more such budding talents emerge.”
Global Schools chairman Atul Temurnikar praised Meenal’s accomplishment, citing it as evidence of the quality educational environment that GIIS offers. "We take immense pride in the fact that our institution, with its world-class facilities and guidance from mentors like Sheykhar Ravjiani, is fostering the growth of remarkable talents like Meenal.”
