OneH2 Expands Hydrogen System Manufacturing With New Facility in South Carolina
LONGVIEW, N.C., December 8, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - OneH2, a sustainable hydrogen solutions company, has announced the acquisition of a new manufacturing facility in Clover, South Carolina. Purchased from Belmont Land and Investment Company, LLC, the facility comprises a 246,091 sq ft building and approximately 30 acres of land. The expansion aims to increase OneH2's manufacturing capacity, addressing the current order backlog and anticipated demand for the next three years.
Swapnil Revankar, Vice President of Product at OneH2, expressed enthusiasm about the company's growth. "We are thrilled to continue our expansion with the purchase of the Clover, SC, facility," Revankar stated. "Our existing manufacturing facility in North Carolina is already operating at maximum. By opening this new facility, we will be able to scale our production and grow our hydrogen equipment footprint across the U.S. at a rapid pace."
The Clover facility is specifically designed for large-scale production of H400 modular hydrogen production systems. It will feature dedicated manufacturing lines for each sub-system, including water treatment, steam methane reformation, gas purification, and compression. The new facility is expected to employ 280 people by January 2026, significantly contributing to the local economy. By this time, it is projected to produce over 100 units annually of the H400 systems and related equipment like dispensers, hydrogen loading panels, and electricity generators.
This expansion is part of OneH2's strategic initiative to enhance its infrastructure footprint nationwide. The company is set to launch an exclusive Channel Partner program, which will offer select organizations direct access to OneH2’s specialized hydrogen equipment. This program is expected to catalyze demand for the Clover facility's output and accelerate the deployment of OneH2's hydrogen solutions across the United States.
Revankar highlighted the strategic significance of the new facility, stating, "The new Clover facility is the latest in a series of partnerships and expansions across the country. Our Channel Partners have significant reach into various market segments that are poised to convert to hydrogen as a fuel source. Our investment in our manufacturing capabilities is to ensure we are able to service this demand."
As businesses increasingly turn to hydrogen as a clean energy source, OneH2 is poised to meet their needs, contributing to the growing hydrogen economy. The company's commitment to establishing a nationwide hydrogen infrastructure network aims to offer cost-effective hydrogen fuel solutions in sectors such as materials handling, heavy transportation, and ports.
