BOSTON, February 14, 2024 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Celebrating a significant milestone, architecture firm Shepley Bulfinch, has launched a commemorative exhibition at The Boston Architectural College’s (BAC) McCormick Gallery, marking its 150th anniversary. According to a press release from the firm, The exhibition, "A Legacy of Design Innovation: Shepley Bulfinch at 150 + Beyond," showcases the firm's influential work in creating spaces for living, learning, and healing since 1874.

Angela Watson, FAIA, LEED AP, president and CEO of Shepley Bulfinch, expressed her enthusiasm for the firm's longstanding legacy. "We are thrilled to kick off our 150th year with an exhibit at the BAC’s McCormick Gallery,” said Watson. “As one of the oldest architecture firms in the United States, we couldn’t be happier to return to the BAC with this custom installation to celebrate our collective history and our commitment to the built environment.”

The exhibition underscores Shepley Bulfinch's dedication to visionary design and its impact on healthcare, science, education, and urban development. It traces the firm's evolution from its early days in Brookline, Massachusetts, under founder Henry Hobson Richardson, to its current status as a women-led firm that prioritizes regenerative and equitable future developments.

Dr. Mahesh Daas, president of BAC, highlighted the long-standing relationship between the two institutions. “Celebrating our 134-year partnership with Shepley Bulfinch, this exhibit honors our shared legacy and its significant impact not just in New England, but globally. Together, we will lead the design of our communities towards an equitable and innovative future,” Daas remarked.

The exhibit features original models, ephemera, and site-specific installations from Shepley Bulfinch's historic and ongoing projects. Additionally, it introduces a self-guided walking tour via the AdventureLab© app, allowing the public to explore Shepley Bulfinch-designed sites across Boston starting February 28, 2024.

Open to the public daily from February 24, 2024, to May 7, 2024, at The Boston Architectural College, 320 Newbury St, Boston, MA 02115, the exhibition invites visitors to delve into the firm's rich history and its vision for the future.
