Unity Environmental University Increases Minimum Wage for Employees

NEW GLOUCESTER, Maine, June 18, 2024 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Unity Environmental University has announced a significant increase in employee compensation, set to take effect on July 1, 2024. This move is aimed at enhancing the standard of living for its staff and underscores the university’s commitment to its employees and the local community.

Beginning in July, the minimum annual salary for full-time, benefit-eligible employees based in Maine will be raised to $50,000. Additionally, all employees will receive an average raise of 7%, and the minimum hourly wage for Maine-based hourly employees will be increased to $23 per hour.

In addition to the wage increases, Unity Environmental University is enhancing its support for students by maintaining flat tuition rates through 2030 and expanding learning support services.
