Scott Ehrlich, CEO of the DPJCC, stated, "We were overjoyed to welcome Jewish athletes from all corners of the world to Broward County for the 2023 JCC Maccabi Games & Access. Their unwavering commitment contributed significantly to establishing an atmosphere that nurtured camaraderie, inclusiveness, and the genuine essence of the Games."

The event also introduced JCC Maccabi Access, a program designed to include athletes aged 12-18 with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This inclusive program was part of the larger Maccabi experience and underscores the event's commitment to diversity and inclusivity.

Community and corporate sponsorship played a crucial role in the event's success, with honorary co-chairs Scott Scherr, founder of Ultimate Software, and Scot Hunter, co-founder of Emerald Multi-Family Office, encouraging business support. Numerous other sponsors, including UKG, the Posnack Family Foundation, and Craig Zinn Automotive Group, also contributed significantly to the event's operations.

Beyond the competitions, the Games served as a platform for community service. Initiatives like the JCC Cares Mitzvah Projects allowed participants to give back by assembling Rosh Hashanah food baskets for seniors and Holocaust survivors and donating new sneakers to students. The event was not only a celebration of athletic achievement but also a demonstration of unity, inclusivity, and community service.
