In a notable case in June 2023, Suarez was instrumental in securing a $63.5 million federal jury award, which included $47.6 million in punitive damages, for two businessmen. The plaintiffs had alleged that a Miami City Commissioner harassed them through his office after they supported his political rival, a case that not only garnered national media attention but also led to public calls for the commissioner's resignation.

Prior to her tenure in private practice, Suarez honed her legal skills as an assistant public defender in the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office.
