SAN FRANCISCO, September 30, 2024 (VSNewsNetwork.com) – The Anti-Malware Testing Standards Organization (AMTSO) has announced the appointment of Vlad Iliushin as its new President and CEO, succeeding Dennis Batchelder, who is stepping down after eight years of leadership.

Luis Corrons, Chairman of the Board at AMTSO, expressed confidence in the decision, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Vlad Iliushin as AMTSO’s new president and CEO. His entrepreneurship, deep expertise, and contributions to AMTSO make him an excellent fit for this role. Dennis Batchelder let the board know some time ago that we should start looking for a new leader, and we have been searching for the right candidate since the beginning of the year. We are pleased to continue working closely with Dennis as he remains an integral part of AMTSO, and we extend our sincere thanks to him for his outstanding leadership since 2016.”

Iliushin, who is also the founder and CEO of ELLIO Technology, has been a member of the AMTSO board since July 2022. He brings over a decade of experience in cybersecurity, having worked in combating mass exploitation attacks and in fields like IoT and mobile security. He previously led Avast’s IoT Lab and contributed to AMTSO’s IoT working group.

In his new role, Iliushin will prioritize three core objectives: improving member retention by enhancing the organization’s value offerings, expanding AMTSO’s scope beyond traditional antivirus testing to include emerging areas like VPN and XDR, and growing the organization’s outreach to attract new members.

“I am honored to step into the role of President and CEO of AMTSO, and I’m excited to collaborate with our members to elevate our community to new heights, building on the strong foundation Dennis has established over the past years. AMTSO began with a focus on fair standards in antivirus testing, but has since expanded to encompass other cybersecurity areas such as XDR, VPN, and IoT security. I look forward to driving this growth further in close collaboration with the board, executive team, and our members. Strengthening and expanding our member base will be key to our future success,” said Iliushin.

Batchelder, who has led AMTSO since 2016, will continue to contribute to the organization in an advisory capacity to ensure a smooth transition.
