MIAMI, October 30, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Budapest, often known as the Spice of Europe, is marking its 150th anniversary with a myriad of festivities. Organized by Visit Hungary, the celebrations aim to honor the historic unification of Buda, Pest, and Old Buda in 1873. The events range from culinary to cultural experiences and include a variety of activities such as wine tastings, spa parties, and the debut of a Budapest-centric book. “We invite you to join us in this historic celebration of one of the world’s most iconic cities, Budapest. Its diversity, energy, and creative vibes, exemplify Hungary’s offering to locals and tourists alike,” said Zsuzsa Szégner, International Relations Director, Visit Hungary.

Among the highlights are the Cakes of the Year, specifically designed for the anniversary and available at over 100 locations across Budapest. Another feature is the Tokaji Aszú Tasting, which allows visitors to taste one of the world's oldest sweet wines through cruises along the Danube River. A special book consisting of 23 stories by Hungarian authors will also be released as a literary tribute to the city. Further adding to the festive spirit, the Chain Bridge, a vital link between Buda and Pest, has reopened after renovations, and replicas of lions, iconic figures in the city's coat of arms, will be placed at various locations, decorated by local artists.
