It's an honor to speak with you today. Can you please share some details about your background and journey? How did you reach your current position? : I started my company in 2009 when I went to New York and received my Master’s degree from NYU. The backbone of the education I received there, coupled with my internships at Teen Vogue and jobs at various PR agencies, inspired me to start on my own company. I networked at events in NYC and worked with a large artist and fashion designer organizing launch events, inviting various high profile reporters from the city. After opening my New York Showroom in Soho, I decided to go back to my roots and also launch a Miami office. After managing both, I found that Miami had a greater need and niche for small businesses that needed PR on a smaller scale, with a smaller budget and time frame. This has become my bread and butter– launching people and businesses with something important to say and growing alongside them using strategic PR tactics.
Achieving success often involves overcoming obstacles. What challenges have you faced along the way?: There are parts of the job that are smooth, and some that are a challenge. The great thing about sticking to growing and shifting your business is that you can mold it to fit your lifestyle. For example, at a certain point, my tiny business was growing bigger than I ever thought it would, so it was time to hire employees and get an office/showroom. One of my greatest challenges has been balancing it all- the employees, the space and the organization of a company, while also securing top PR hits for my clients. After many years of growing my business, I decided to go backwards and work on my own, in order to work more flexibly and freely, choose my own hours, be able to travel and have my own schedule, while also being able to more carefully control the quality and output of work.
Tell us about your work. What is your area of expertise, and what makes your business stand out from the competition?: My specialty is securing national, regional, local and community media placements for my clients. This can be in the form of different type of media– print magazines and newspapers, online websites and bloggers, podcasts, radio and TV interviews and more. I am known for getting quick media exposure for smaller clients that are looking to grow on the fast track. I am most proud of some of the campaigns I started with including S’well Bottle, Out of Print and more. I have seen the transformation of a good idea, a good product, or a good service, into an actual movement, and that feeling is beyond words. What sets me apart is the passion I have for writing, finding new angles, and searching for new/trending ways to position my clients and to communicate to the masses.
What is your top piece of advice for our readers who want to achieve success in their own lives?: Never give up .. always follow your passion and you should feel like whatever you are doing is something you love to wake up and do every day of your life.
How do you define success? : Doing exactly what you love to do every day.
Now, let's talk about the future. What are your future plans or next steps for you/your company?: I hope to keep building my business and inspiring other entrepreneurs to build their own.
How can people connect with you to learn more about your work?:
