NASHVILLE, Tenn., October 23, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Lionel, a manufacturer of model trains, is set to open its second retail store at Opry Mills in Nashville, Tennessee. The grand opening, marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony, is scheduled for Friday, October 27, at 10 a.m. The Opry Mills location follows the opening of Lionel's flagship store in Concord, North Carolina, five years ago.

CEO of Lionel, Howard Hitchcock, commented on the choice of location, stating, "Nashville has a long heritage of railroading and a growing excitement around racing that made sense to us when considering locations for our second Lionel retail store." The new store spans over 3,000 square feet and offers an extensive range of Lionel trains, tracks, and accessories. It also features running train displays and has a special section devoted to NASCAR die-cast collectibles. Special guests attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony will include local government officials, business leaders, and the company's mascot, Lenny the Lion.

The store aims to become an integral part of the Nashville community and has already received a warm welcome, according to Hitchcock. "Our team is looking forward to becoming more and more a part of the community here, and the welcome we've received so far has been phenomenal," he added. The Lionel store is strategically positioned inside Opry Mills Mall, across from Five Below.
