LOS ANGELES, June 21, 2024 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Marlon Hoffman is set to release two new singles, "Suicide Ride" and "Runnin' Outta Road," from his forthcoming album, Holy Matters. These tracks, co-written by Davey Johnstone of the Elton John Band and Rick Otto, showcase Hoffman's distinctive "Outlaw" style and are set to be available for pre-release streaming.
The new album, Holy Matters, is scheduled for a September 2024 release. It features a collaboration with a number of notable musicians, including Davey Johnstone, who contributed electric, acoustic, bass, and slide guitars on "Suicide Ride," and is co-producing the album alongside Hoffman and Bernard Fowler of the Rolling Stones.
Denny Seiwell, an original member of Wings, praised "Suicide Ride," describing it as “bada** rock ‘n’ roll at its best.” The production and arrangement, combining Hoffman’s raw vocal style with Johnstone’s guitar work, promise a robust Americana rock sound.
Holy Matters also includes contributions from musicians such as Bernard Fowler, Phil Parlapiano, Stephen Ferrone, and others, bringing together a blend of rock, folk, and Americana influences. The recording took place at Hoffman’s Kenrose Studio, a space also used by Johnstone for his 2022 album, Deeper Than My Roots.
Listeners can preview the new singles on YouTube: Suicide Ride and Runnin' Outta Road. For more information about Holy Matters and upcoming releases, visit marlonhoffman.com.
