Rebel Athletic Becomes First American Company to Host Fashion Show on Great Wall of China

DALLAS, October 24, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Rebel Athletic, a cheer and dance fashion company, hosted a fashion show on the Great Wall of China on October 12, 2023. According to the company's press release, this marks the first time an American company has organized such an event on the historic site. The fashion show was part of Rebel Athletic's annual overseas couture lookbook shoot, which also featured shoots at other United Nations World Heritage sites in Beijing, including the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace.

The logistical setup for the event took a local production crew over 24 hours, with restrictions in place such as a ban on the use of cranes. The show featured over 200 individual floodlights and concluded with a customized drone light show that displayed the Rebel logo on three guard towers of the Wall. Karen Noseff Aldridge, Founder and CEO of Rebel Athletic, was quoted saying, "We are incredibly proud to have made history as the first American company to host a fashion show on the Great Wall of China."
Participants in the event included recognized figures in the cheer industry and Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2023, Morgan Greco. The press release notes that the collection aimed to combine elements of athleticism and style. "Our collection celebrates the spirit of athleticism and artistic expression," Aldridge added.
