SAN FRANCISCO, August 9, 2024 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Upwind has announced the launch of Upwind Agentless Cloud Scanners, a major extension of its Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP). This new feature enhances Upwind's cloud security offerings by providing an agentless approach to securing cloud environments where eBPF sensors cannot be deployed.

The Upwind Agentless Cloud Scanners are designed to provide organizations with comprehensive security across various architectures, including AWS Fargate for Amazon ECS, AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Run, and virtual machines (VMs) with older operating system versions. The scanners offer capabilities such as identifying misconfigurations, detecting malware, uncovering exposed secrets, and finding vulnerabilities in cloud infrastructures.

According to Amiram Shachar, co-founder and CEO of Upwind, “At Upwind, our goal is to simplify cloud security and provide solutions that meet a variety of needs. With our Agentless Cloud Scanners, we’re giving our customers a powerful tool to gain comprehensive insights into their cloud infrastructure, no matter how complex or constrained their environment might be.”

The new Agentless Cloud Scanners complement Upwind's existing suite of real-time monitoring and protection features. Together with eBPF-based sensors, these tools offer end-to-end visibility and protection across hosts, containers, serverless functions, and more, ensuring security across multiple cloud architectures.

Shachar added, “We’re committed to innovation and providing seamless, integrated solutions. Our Agentless Cloud Scanners and eBPF-based Sensors represent a significant step forward in cloud security, helping our customers manage and protect their multi-architecture environments from a single, centralized platform.”
